Sun With Moon Restaurant – Singapore Food Review

Hey guys! Kayden here back with another review! Today’s review will be on Sun with moon restaurant @ Wheelock place!

Aburi Kaisen Chirashi Kamameshi $27

This was what Ice ate! It comes with a pot of small soup that taste quite amazing! The rice itself contains many ingredients such as unagi, scallops, aburi salmon, etc which is very flavorful. If you are someone who prefers a dish that tastes slightly lighter, you can pour in the soup and enjoy the meal! If not, you can eat half of the rice before adding in the soup to complete the meal with something lighter and refreshing (;

Big ebi shioyaki $11.80

The expensive prawn that cost $6 for one>< So is it worth it? Nope, not a chance. The smell of the charred seafood keeps coming back into my nose even after almost half an hour! The texture of the prawn is very good as well, quite ‘Q’ and the umami from the head packs a punch man! However, $6?! Srsly? I can buy a good meal elsewhere… I remembering seeing Fatcows’ big Ebi and each cost more than $10!! Never gonna buy that..

Aburi Cheese Salmon (1 pc $3.30) and Aburi Shio Salmon (1 pc $3.30)

Both are pretty good! The cut of the salmon sun with moon provides is thick and juicy! However, one notable mention is that if you have been to the sushi bar @ Ngee ann city, the sushi bar provides better aburi sushi in terms of its flavour.

Special tendon $24.80

Disappointing… It looked nice with all exotic ingredients not commonly found in a tendon bowl such as snow crab, the leafy vegetable. However, the frying totally ruined the snow crab. There’s totally no sweetest or any kind of flavour at all… The prawn was fresh but the batter was soggy. The leaf was surprisingly good tho! If you guys know me, you should know I’m very particular about the sauce in a tendon. Sun with moon doesn’t provide sufficient sauce! This point alone is a no go for me.

Conclusion:

Sun with moon serves many different dishes and some of them are actually legit and worth your buck! Another notable point is that the service is really good as well! This is definitely a plus point (:

Avoid the bad ones and pick the good ones I mentioned and you should be on your way to heaven.
