百年酿豆腐 Best Yong Tau Fu – YSK
Hi!!! Kayden is back! First of all I would like to apologise for MIA-ing so long. NUS Computer engineering is just so so stress so anyone without programming background and want to get good CAP pls stay away.. (unless udm having no life)
Anyway, today’s topic will be on the best yong tau fu in Singapore! (IMHO) Actually I have never been a fan of yong tau fu or any soup that is cooked just by boiling ingredients in the water without a theme. If you don’t get what I mean, here’s some eg. Fishball soup, chicken soup (w/o herbs) and vegetable soup with egg etc. I mean if you compare it with curry, laksa, lor mee ,those without a “theme” just lose out. Yong tau hu is no exception.
So, when my mum suggested to bring me there, I’m like meh.. But I still tag along to accompany her.

One thing I dislike about this stall is they have a standard assortment of ingredients chosen for you and that includes 五香, meat , fried tofu, the prawn ball (the best!!) and bitter gourd etc. I didn’t wanted the bitter gourd so the bowl above doesn’t have bitter gourd.
However, why do I say that this is the best bowl of Yong Tau Fu even when I can’t choose ingredients? Cussss the soup is so so good!! It’s not like the typical clear soup with some beans inside. This soup is smooth and bursting w flavours!! The sauce they made is another huge plus! It’s so good that they only give one sauce plate per bowl ordered! If you need more, you have to bring ur sauce plate over to add a little haha! But that just shows how good it is!
One last point! The noodle choice can only be mi fen (vermicelli)) and the portion can be small so pls add mi fen if you’re hungry!
Kayden signing out. Peace (:
